Silverland Bến Thành Hotel is a hotel in Ho Chi Minh City that I would love to stay over again.
After staying over for 2 nights over at Vũng Tàu, we took a 9 seater limousine back to Ho Chi Minh City. The journey back was about 4 hours long and we were dropped off a few streets away from the hotel due to heavy traffic. It was no issue since getting a grab was quite convenient within Ho Chi Minh City.
Upon alighting from the grab, we headed up a small flight of steps to the hotel lobby. The lights were dim and the reddish walls were designed in non-uniform curvatures. The whole lobby is definitely protruding a homely underground tunnel vibes which felt so unique and elegant. Before proceeding up to our room, we were offered a welcome drink, dried snacks and a towel to wipe up. The welcome drink was a herbal concoction brewed in house which tasted really refreshing. My friend even ordered another glass of it on the following day from Bason Café Bến Thành.
Next, we headed up to our room – Sunshine Garden (Twin) to wash up before heading out for dinner that day. Although the small was small, it really cozy and I love it that way. The furnishing was simple, just like how a comfortable home would look like. Amenities were all available, including the free drinks refill in the fridge itself. The bathtub also looked rather clean and I had enjoyed myself soaking in there.
Smith’s Kitchen & Bar
Smith’s Kitchen & Bar is the place where we had buffet breakfast for the following 2 days. Since it was located at the 2nd highest floor of the hotel, we get to enjoy the view of the city center while we ate. Just like the curves of the lobby, the place also has winding curves all around, including its ceiling. The buffet spread was quite decent as I helped myself with plenty of fresh fruits. There was even an ala carte menu of up to 10 dishes consisting of eggs, sandwiches and pancakes. For those who are still in the hotel by afternoon could enjoy light bites with coffee or tea as well.
Pool, Sauna, Steambath, Jacuzzi Foot Bath, Gym
The hotel also have other facilities such as a small dipping pool at its rooftop. The pool was quite crowded when we were there and we only headed there for photos. Luckily there was a sauna and steam bath room which I went in the evening when there were no one using. These facilities are shared between both genders and could be quite cramp. Be sure to pick the right timings!
All in all, Silverland Bến Thành Hotel is definitely one of my favorite hotel while staying in Ho Chi Minh City. Its location is pretty convenient where various cafes and eateries could be found within its vicinity. The Ben Thanh Market which is a tourist hotspot is just located a street away as well. Silverland has eight hotels in various locations, each with different styles to experience the soul of Saigon.
