My Customized Skincare Products from IDS Skincare (Review)

It wasn’t my first time visiting IDS Clinic. The only difference this time would be me bringing back a set of skincare products, specially customized for my skin.

Being plagued by skin problems such as acnes and keloids was a torture since puberty. Managing such troublesome and oily skin type was not my forte at all too.

I had retuned to IDS Clinic for a consultation with Doctor Ian Tan at Novena Specialist Center that day. Doctor Tan was already familiar with my skin conditions since I had keloid jabs done by him previously. Upon reviewing my skin condition, he prescribed a set of IDS skincare products specially catered to help improve my current skin condition.

I was then led out to another product consultation where I had my face photo taken for record purpose. One of the skin consultant then introduced to me the range of products that was prescribed by Doctor Tan, ensuring that I understood the sequence of application. I admit that I have not used this many facial products before and I felt slightly intimidated.

Thank goodness I have managed to follow my facial regime planned out diligently for the following month! I have seen improvements in my skin conditions in terms of control & repair as well as brightening aspects.

Let’s take a look at my prescribed set of customized skincare products shall we ?

First and foremost, my daily regime starts off with the T1 Refreshing Cleanser. After wetting my face once, I usually apply a single pump onto my palms before rubbing till slightly foamy. I could detect a faint fragrance that reminded me of orange blossom as I massaged my face gently before rinsing off once again. It is known to provide deep cleansing without stripping the skin’s natural protective layer.

The next step would be to apply the T1 Refreshing Toner which comes in an equally tall spray bottle. I simply spray the toner onto my palm before patting gently onto my face. You could also choose to spray directly as well. I love how it offers my face a matte finishing in the morning as it aids in unclogging and shrinking my already-large pore size.

The Pore Formula is what people with oily skin would need as its purpose is to refine pores. Just a pump of its beige solution for application would help minimize oil production without drying out my face. I felt a tingling sensation every time, just like having a cool mint wash. This product is meant to reduce both blackheads and whiteheads.

Among all the IDS skincare products, the C-Plus is in fact one of my favourite topical skin care products! Besides being clear and easily applied onto my face, it is a formulated potent form of Vitamin C. Its skin lightening effect assist to even out skin tone and lightening out my acne marks.

Applies to Day Time Use

Last but not least before leaving my home would be to apply the S2 Non-Tinted Suncreeen. Since we have to constantly put on our masks outdoors, I only applied mainly on my forehead. Its broad-spectrum SPF 50+ sunscreen basically protects my skin from 99% of UV radiation. What makes this sunscreen different would be its additional function of blue light (HEVL) protection among the other benefits!

Applies to Night Time Use

Before going to bed, my facial care had another step which involved mixing both A-Plus & Recovery Serum before application. I was initially stunned by the bright yellow color of A-Plus and it has a similar texture to acrylic paint. It has age-preventive function, targeting fine line and wrinkles, as well as reduce blemish marks.

It was definitely a wise move to mix it together with the Recovery Serum for easier application. Its function includes reducing irritation, redness and improves the overall skin tone.

I definitely find the cream-like Spot Control a really useful skincare product whenever I would realize an acne was about to make an appearance on my face. Not only does it minimize breakouts but also soothes and heals skin!

After every week, I would pamper my face with a sheet of facemask loaded with 30ml of serum from DermaShield Mask Box. It basically protects my skin from UV, Infra-Red, Blue light as well as environmental pollutants. The amount of serum contained in there could provide 2 days worth of usage and is so moisturizing! Each box contain 10 sheets of mask.

A row of colorful balloons lined up across with the word “Happy Birthday” spread on the bed. A bottle of wine, macaroons as well as a slice of cake had been prepared for me. It was so sweet of them to leave a well wishes note as well.

Hotel Review – PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering, Lifestyle Room

This hotel is for you if you would love to enjoy an elevated version of a cabin-in-the-garden feel.

Staycation is probably one of the most popular form of escapism ever since the Covid-19 pandemic hits. The only “leisure” I enjoyed after CNY would be a staycation at PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering.

After a pretty smooth check on a New Year’s Eve, we made our way to the 11th floor where our “Lifestyle Room” is located, admiring the architecture along the way. The hotel is indeed furnished with natural elements such as integrated water features and greenery, living up to its name as an eco-friendly hotel.

A Visit To Northern Culture Museum In Niigata During Winter

Niigata Prefecture is located along the coast of Japan in Chubu Region. One of the main highlights of Niigata would definitely be its premium quality rice.

Due to time constraint upon arrival in Niigata, the one destination we had decided to visit was the Northern Culture Museum. The place was originally served to pass down the historical lifestyle and culture of Japan’s great Ito landowner. They were originally farmers who lived in the Edo Period from 1603-1868.

The mundane bus ride from Niigata station to Northern Culture Museum was about 50 minutes long. Paddy fields were seen withering as winter claimed its season of the year.

Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park In Japan Is A Winter Wonderland

The snow monkeys that reside in Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park at Japan would agree with me that their habitat is a winter wonderland, won’t they?

I was pretty excited as it would be my first time visiting wildlife in the midst of winter. It would be so cute to witness snow monkeys sitting and enjoying themselves in a natural hot spring!

Prior to visiting the Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park, visitors could monitor the movements of these Japanese macaques online. The live camera installed by the pool would assist visitors in their decision if they would like to visit on that day. No point visiting if all the monkeys did not want to have a soak anyway.

Top 2 Places To Visit In Matsumoto

Matsumoto is a place where one of the most beautiful historical black castle is built.

Matsumoto is a city located somewhere in the middle of Nagano Prefecture. A place we had to visit since its Matsumoto Castle is included of our planned itinerary for this trip.

After a short public bus ride from Matsumoto Station, we arrived at the outermost of this amazing landmark. I have already caught sight of the black castle grandeur and started snapping pictures.

Tokyo One Piece Tower That Shut Its Doors Since 31 July 2020

For all One Piece fans out there, it is unfortunate that the management of Tokyo One Piece Tower has made a decision to close it down since 31 July 2020, due to the impact of COVID-19 outbreak.

Besides being a beautiful landmark for photography, the Tokyo Tower is an indoor theme park for the popular Japanese manga series, One piece.

A quick introduction for non-otakus, One Piece Japanese manga series is about straw-hat Luffy whose goal is to be a pirate king. Having eaten the gomu-gomu devil fruit, he was granted a rubber body along with its elastic properties. Being a leader of Strawhat pirates, Luffy and his crew set sail to achieve their individual dream! The manga series is still ongoing with multiple arcs that kept me glued onto, week after week.

Hotel Review – Hotel Karuizawa Elegance

I’m going to share with my experience in Hotel Karuizawa Elegance. If you’re travelling to Karuizawa, there are a few tips that I will like to share with you to help you with travelling experience in Karuizawa.

Karuizawa, a town located in the Nagano prefecture is worth spending a few days to explore, especially for the various recreational activities it offers. Since it was winter when I visited this town, I had compiled a list of top 6 things I did in my previous post.

How about checking out which hotel I stayed over the 2 nights while visiting Karuizawa? Hotel Karuizawa Elegance is already considered a better hotel as compared to the others much more cramped ones.

It was quite convenient as it took us about 10 mins to get to Hotel Karuizawa Elegance from Karuizawa station itself. There was nothing much along the way except for a couple of restaurants where we had a quick forgettable dinner in one since everywhere closes early in the midst of winter.

The hotel is made up of 2 different buildings and its furnishing was pretty much basic. Judging from web images, I supposed visiting during other seasons besides winter would do justice to its appeal. As for its room, it was spacious and pretty much mundane. Cozy enough for a good night’s rest.

Anyway, another bonus point would be that it is located pretty close to Kyu-Karuizawa Ginza Street. A great place to shop for souvenirs as well as for food. Just take note that shops do close early during winter!

You can take a look at the pictures that I have took below so you can get a better sense of Karuizawa and it’s accommodation.
Overall, I think that it has been a pleasant experience. Are you going to Karuizawa for your trip as well? Share your plans/experience in the comment below!
