Phang Nga Origin Hotel immediately caught my eye while I was browsing accommodation options in Mueang Phang-Nga District. Its centralized location was a big plus. It was perfect for exploring the surroundings on foot, especially in a small city where getting a Grab ride can be tricky.
After two comfortable nights at Hotel Gahn, it was time for a change. It took us almost 20 minutes (and two driver cancellations) before we finally secured a Grab. The ride to Phang Nga Origin Hotel took just over an hour.
Thankfully, we had a good lunch before setting off.
The hotel looked just as promised from the photos on Google — new, clean, and inviting. I appreciated the extra security measure at the entrance; guests needed a hotel card to access the main door, which made the place feel safe and well-managed. The staff were friendly and efficient, and we quickly checked into our Twin Room with Garden View.

Room and Amenities
First impressions of the room were great. Natural light flooded in through the glass doors. The room was a clean, simple space decorated with a mix of white tones and rustic wooden fixtures. The style was minimalistic but thoughtful enough to make the stay comfortable without feeling cluttered. It aligned perfectly with the hotel’s philosophy of expressing Phang Nga’s culture, lifestyle, and nature in a simple yet meaningful way. Amenities were basic but just right: a comfortable bed, a clean bathroom with a hot shower — exactly what we needed after a day out.
Eager to make the most of our time, we booked a half-day tour at the hotel’s reception to explore Phang Nga Bay. (I’ll share more about that experience in my next post!)

Although we did not opt for breakfast the next morning, the hotel still offered complimentary traditional Thai kueh. It was such a thoughtful gesture! There was a menu of treats such as:
- Thai Custard with Sweet Coconut Sticky Rice
- Steamed Pumpkin Cake
- Coconut Sticky Rice and Banana wrapped in Banana Leaves
- Steamed Coconut Custard with Sweet Coconut Filling
- Thai Taro Pudding with Coconut Cream
- Steamed Sticky Rice with Red Bean
- Coconut-Flavored Sticky Rice with Caramelized Grated Coconut
While not all options were available, we tried a few and absolutely loved them! Coffee, tea, and bottled water were also provided.
We also noticed two bicycles available for rent at the reception. Although we rented them for half a day, we quickly realized cycling along busy roads wasn’t the best idea for us inexperienced riders. Still, we made it to a nice café about 15 minutes’ walk away — more on that in another post too.
In conclusion, Phang Nga Origin Hotel was a wonderful, cozy place for our short stay. It delivered comfort, safety, and a touch of local charm, making it a great choice before we set off back to Phuket.
