Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc is undoubtedly one of Phu Quoc’s main attractions and a must-visit for animal lovers. We had already purchased our entrance tickets online beforehand and planned to spend about half a day there. Although I enjoy exploring wildlife parks, I was hoping to avoid spending too much time under the scorching sun that day. After all, I had already become noticeably tanner after spending an entire afternoon at Sun World Hon Thom Aquatopia Water Park the day before.
As usual, after breakfast, we booked a Grab ride and made our way all the way north towards our destination. Although we arrived relatively early in the morning, tourists had already packed the place. The queue at the main entrance looked incredibly long and crowded. But thankfully, we had purchased the fast pass tickets in advance. We were able to skip the long line entirely and entered through the side gate instead. Honestly, it was such a relief because the normal queue would probably have taken us more than 20 minutes just to get through.

Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc Adventure Begins
After entering the park, we had a quick look up on the map of the place. One of the staff in front of the board, gave a brief introduction about Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc. He answered visitors’ questions while explaining how the conservation park is divided into different zones.
The park spans an impressive 380 hectares, making it the largest wildlife conservation park in Vietnam. It is also the first and only safari park in Vietnam. The park houses hundreds of animal and plants species from around the world. The trip will definitely be both an educational as well as an entertaining experience for visitors of all ages.
The very first thing that greeted us upon entering was a large, beautiful lush pond filled with flamingos. The scenery was honestly quite stunning, and I could not resist taking countless photos with the flamingos as the backdrop. Right beside the pond was one of the animal interaction corners. A keeper stood holding a majestic eagle perched calmly on his arm. It was one of the few areas in the park where visitors could pay a small fee to take photographs with the animals.
Safari Zone
Midway exploring the park, we decided to head for the safari experience first before the queues became even longer. The safari buses bring visitors through large open enclosures where animals roam freely in habitats designed to resemble their natural environments. Unlike traditional zoos where humans walk around observing animals in cages, this experience completely reversed. We stayed safely enclosed inside the bus while the animals roamed freely outside.
During the ride, we spotted zebras, giraffes, rhinoceroses, antelopes and even large predators such as tigers and lions resting under shaded areas. One of the most memorable moments was seeing a sun bear walking so close to our safari bus. It felt like the safari transported us into an African wildlife experience right in Vietnam!
Besides the unique safari experience, we also took the shuttle service around the park, alighting at each stop. There were three stops in total, which helped distribute the walking distance more evenly. It reduced the need for long stretches of walking while visiting each enclosure.

A Beautiful Conservatory Environment
One of my opinions would be the park itself was also relatively well-maintained. There were plenty of shaded walkways, rest stops and refreshment kiosks scattered throughout the park. Even though the weather remained extremely hot and humid, the greenery around the park helped make the environment feel slightly more bearable. I am also glad to see the animals are looking quite healthy. At least, the animals looked well taken care of.
Overall, visiting Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc is considered one of the highlights of our Phu Quoc trip. From the exciting safari bus ride to the close-up encounters with wildlife. The experience was both fun and memorable. I would highly recommend purchasing the fast pass tickets, especially during peak tourist periods. It can save a significant amount of waiting time under the hot sun. For families with young children visiting Phu Quoc, this safari park is definitely worth adding to the itinerary.
