Yunomori Onsen and Spa (Sathorn 10) is the newer of the 2 outlets in Bangkok.
Yunomori Onsen and Spa (Sathorn 10) is a Japanese-inspired bathhouse, and the second outlet in Bangkok. It is conveniently located in the heart of the city’s bustling business district. Definitely a place where locals go to relax at the end of a stressful day at work. The location is quite convenient and easy to find even for a tourist like me.
The moment I climbed the stairs and entered the lobby, I was greeted by a touch of Japanese Zen. The wooden floors, countertops, and benches, as well as the yellowish, soft lighting, added to the atmosphere. The first thing to do, even before using any services, is to go to the shoe locker room. Here guests can exchange their shoes for the tatami slippers provided.
Services
Yunomori Onsen and Spa offers a variety of different services including massages, facials, and body scrubs starting at 30 minutes. All the above packages include access to the onsen. If you do not like massages, you can opt for the onsen entrance à la carte for 550 THB, which I did.
After receiving my locker number, I went to the onsen rooms, which are separated by gender. I got to pick my favorite yukata design and the color of the belt I wanted to wear later on. The first thing I would want to do was to get into the onsen for a soak after the mandatory showering!
Facilities
There are several onsen baths in the complex where each offers a relaxing and therapeutic experience as well as a number of benefits. These baths include Yunomori Signature Bath, Mineral Water Bath, Sleeping Jet Bath, Silk Bath, Soft Bubble Bath and 2 different Cold Baths. Not forgetting to include the Sauna Room and Steam Room too. I mainly soaked in those baths where I felt the temperature is just right for me.
After few rounds of intermittent soaking and resting, I decided to put on my yukata and explore the place. First, I went to the lobby, where I drank a few cups of cold water to cool down from the heat in the onsen. Along the connection to another building, a Zen garden was created, which invites us to take pictures. The on-site restaurant with outdoor seating and garden views is the perfect place for a meal as well. Unfortunately, I already had plans for dinner with my friends at Mahanakhon Cube. Those who wanted to rest or take a short nap could go to the lounge room on the upper floor. There are many comfortable body-length sofas with cushions on which I spent some time!
Yunomori Onsen and Spa Sathorn 10 is a place you should plan some time for if you happen to be in Bangkok. A place where you can relax and rest your aching legs from walking and shopping all day long. Not only is the onsen near Saint Louis BTS station, but also within walking distance from Chong Nonsi BTS station.
