Tiang Studio Hostel
After spending 2 nights at the Hotel Royal Bangkok, Chinatown, I took a grab to Tiang Studio Hostel. It will be the place where I will spend my next 2 nights. Tiang Studio Hostel is not only close to the hotel booked by my friends, but also caught my attention when I was browsing on Agoda.
Tiang Studio is within walking distance of Sala Daeng BTS station and the Silom Metro Line. I am probably quite familiar with the Silom station, having walked to it several times during my stay.
I alighted along 135/1 Surawong Road, where the hostel is located. As I passed some wooden steps/benches, I took the opportunity for OOTD photos. At the entrance a room card was required, which I received only at check-in and was supported by the staff. Entering the hostel felt like entering someone’s cozy home. It’s pretty clean and new since it opened its door only in 2021.
Deluxe Double Room
The room I booked was the Deluxe Double Room where it has a double bed, large window and private bathroom. I usually prefer my personal space to a dorm-style shared room, despite considered being a solo traveler. They have different accommodation options for ladies or gentlemen only rooms or family rooms. I quite love the room as it definitely felt cozy and warm. The bathroom and toilet were located in different cubicles next to the sink itself. The only problem I had was a mosquito flew into the room with me, biting while accompanying me for the first night.
Adjacent to the hostel room block would be the Tang Cafe where they offer a simple menu of coffee, tea, soda and pastries. I ordered the peach berry soda to pair with my chocolate croffle while waiting for the sun to in one of the evenings. The place has 3 floors and is quite a great place to chill too.
Anyway, the area around Silom has Patpong Night Market where you can grab your favorite street food. There are also many bars/clubs nearby that provide entertainment, or you can indulge in various types of massages at a massage parlour.
