The Odys Boutique Hotel is located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Ever since the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak, I finally took my first flight out of Singapore. One word was on my mind despite me visiting Vietnam for the third time and it was “Excited”.
After taking Scoot airlines for about 2 hours, we finally arrived at Tan Son Nhat International Airport. I first thing we did after collecting our luggage was to book a Grab to our hotel – The Odys Boutique Hotel.
Thankfully, it was a smooth ride since we arrived about 9am in the morning, and there was minimal congestion. The traffic jam in Vietnam could be really scary which we had encountered during the later stage of our trip.
The Odys Boutique Hotel was in striking turquoise and yellow and would be hard for anyone to miss it. A couple of steps up and we found ourselves in an elegant yet timeless lobby with Vietnamese affluent of the old days. The staffs were polite, and we checked in immediately so that we could be on our way to explore the streets.
In each room, there were draped curtains over the bed in reminiscence of the dust covers in Vietnamese noble families. Moreover, the walls of each room are decorated with the signature French colonial patterned tiles. Despite being a bit small, the room was really cozy, and the toilet has a bathtub. The one thing definitely worth highlighting would be the bed and pillow! It was just so comfortable that we had difficulty waking up early for the next 2 days.
The Odys Boutique Hotel also has a lobby bar, Bup restaurant and a sky lounge for those who prefer to chill in-house. Gym facilities and spa services are also available which you want to check with the hotel’s reception.
Last but not least, the hotel is just walking distance to Saigon Financial District, major tourist attractions as well as shopping centers. We walked to the following destinations on foot:
- War Remnants Museum
- Ho Chi Minh City Hall
- Notre Dame Cathedral
- Central Post Office
- Independence Palace
- Jade Emperor Pagoda
- Vinh Nghiem Pagoda
- 42 Nguyen Hue Street Coffee Apartment
- Saigon Sky Deck
