Hotel Majapahit Surabaya MGallery was immediately my top choice as I scanned through the list of hotels in Surabaya. Being located in the city center, near the business district and popular tourist locations, the hotel offers perfect convenience.
As I stepped into this luxury 5-star hotel, it instantly transported me to a different era. The colonial architecture, with its grand white façade and lush gardens, exuded a timeless elegance. Upon check-in, the staff welcomed us warmly, and led us to our room, Ensuring a smooth start to our stay. My room – the classic room with 2 single beds, was a perfect blend of classic charm and modern comfort. It had high ceilings, antique furnishings, and cozy beds that promised restful nights ahead. This would be the room where we would spend the next three nights!
After freshening up, we decided to head out for lunch instead of exploring the hotel grounds first. We were already quite hungry since it was 3 PM, and thankfully, there were many restaurants right across the street. After our meal, we headed to Tunjungan Plaza, one of Surabaya’s largest malls, just a few minutes away. The mall was enormous and buzzing with activity – luxury brands, local boutiques, and a variety of dining options. We even returned on other days to indulge in Indonesian brand restaurants and outlets for our meals.

Hotel Amenities
We decided to dedicate the fourth and final day of our Surabaya trip to exploring Hotel Majapahit Surabaya MGallery’s grounds. We began by strolling through the beautifully manicured gardens and tranquil courtyards in search of photo opportunities. I even managed to do a crow pose on a grassy patch right in front of the fountain.
The poolside is usually a perfect spot for photos, and thankfully, not many people were there that day. Before that, we headed to the gym for a workout and a warm-up. It had various machines, including cardio and weight equipment, making it great for a morning session. For those who love to soak, there is a hot water jacuzzi in the pool’s restroom. A sauna and steam room are also available, though they seemed rather empty.
In conclusion, Hotel Majapahit Surabaya MGallery wasn’t just about luxury; it was also about the rich history and cultural charm that made the hotel unique. I made sure to soak in the room’s bathtub one last time before preparing to check out that evening. My stay at Hotel Majapahit had been a perfect balance of relaxation, allowing me to recharge for the upcoming work week. Its prime location near Surabaya’s best malls made for an unforgettable experience and ultimate convenience.
