Singapore has lifted its Circuit Breaker measures and has progressed into post circuit breaker phrase 2. Locals will once again be able to enjoy hotel staycations! Let me just reminisce the time I enjoyed my staycation at Carlton City Hotel Singapore last year.
Situated within the business district of Tanjong Pagar, Carlton City Hotel Singapore is pretty much accessible. The train station is less than 10 mins walk away and has a 100am shopping mall and many other dining options within its vicinity.
The hotel’s lobby looks rather stylish and classy with high ceilings. It definitely caters to business travelers as claimed on its webpage.
After gaining access to the room, I could not wait to explore and check it out! Loving the beautifully furnished room, with windows overlooking the city. Not forgetting the classy coffee machine beside the work desk paired with a comfortable chair!
The toilet features a glass cubicle with standing shower while directly opposite it was the bathtub. I doubt anyone would want to miss the chance to have a perfect hot water soak. Remember to drop a glitter bath bomb into the bath too!
I spent both dinner and the following day’s breakfast at the hotel’s Club Lounge while admiring the city view. Coffee, tea, alcohol or soda to pair along with plenty of light bites such as sushi, pizza, chicken teriyaki sticks, pie or dim sums for dinner. Breakfast offers standard items such as cereals, sausages, hush browns, sautéed mushrooms and more. It was good enough since my main motive was just to chill around.
If you have more time, you could even go for a swim which we did not since it started raining when we were about to jump into the pool. We did hit the gym though, although it was quite small with limited machines to use.
Time passes really fast as we were enjoying chilling in the hotel. Before long, it was time to check out and back to our mundane routine!
