Hi Chiangrai Hotel Review, Thailand

Hi Chiangrai Hotel is conveniently located close to Chiang Rai Bus Terminal 1.

Finally, it isn’t Bangkok that I would be flying to, but to Chiang Mai instead. Unlike my previous Bangkok trip, which was only 6 months back, I flew with my friend this time.

We decided to head directly to Chaing Rai upon touching down at Chiang Mai International Airport. Fortunately, we had booked the tickets online in advance and save the hassle when we reached the bus terminal. Note that once you purchased the bus ticket for a particular time slot online, no changes can be done after that.

I hated bus journeys, especially those that lasted for hours just like my Ipoh trip. We had no other choice since there were no flights from Chaing Mai to Chiang Rai. As we left Chiang Mai behind, the landscape began to change. Hills and lush forests stretched as far as our eyes could see. The winding road took us through lone houses, where I glimpsed the daily lives of the sub urban people. We finally arrived at Chiang Rai Bus Terminal 1 after almost 4 hours, and I could not feel my legs.

Hi Chiangrai Hotel

Hi Chiangrai Hotel is located less than 10 mins walk away from Chiang Rai Bus Terminal 1. Definitely a convenient location since we were lugging our luggage along. We caught sight of the beige hotel which looks more like a chalet compound. The friendly staffs checked us in and assigned us the room on the 4th floor. To be honest, the room felt a little gloomy, probably due to the color tones. The fridge size caught my attention since it was bigger than the usual mini fridge.

I went to have a dip in the pool the following morning or should I say it was more for photo taking? The pool is not exactly suitable for swimming as it is elongated and narrow, just like the layout of the hotel. Feel free to rent bikes at the lobby or add on breakfast to your room stay too.

Aside from the Bus Terminal, the hotel is located 10-minute walk away from the Saturday Night Walking Street. The Clock Tower Chiang Rai, Chiang Rai Night Bazaar & Wat Phra Kaew are all within walking distance too. There is also no lack of food options around the hotel. After 2 nights, we headed over to the Bus Terminal to travel back to Chiang Mai.
