Melaka is a charming historical city located along the southern region of the Malay Peninsula, facing the Strait of Malacca. It is one of the top weekend getaway destinations for travelers seeking a rich blend of culture, food, and heritage. Just a few hours’ drive from Singapore, Melaka is the perfect escape from the bustling city life. The state offers a slower pace, colorful streets, and a taste of Malaysia’s diverse past.
Beyond its appeal to Singaporeans, Melaka is equally popular among Malaysians from other states, especially those from Kuala Lumpur. Malaysians would drive over for its vibrant food scene and bustling ambiance.
